What Coaching Is
Coaching is a partnership between coach and client. It is a process that allows individuals, employees, teams or leaders to gain clarity about who they are, what they value and what they want. As a coach, I use a combination of listening, questioning, assessments, support and insight to help the client determine the desired state. Where there is a gap between the current state and desired state, I work with the client to determine the action plans that will take them from where they are now to where they want to be.
Types of Coaching
I offer the following types of coaching - in person, over the phone or through the internet.
1) Employee Coaching
In employee coaching, I work one on one with an employee. From supporting high performing employees on the fast track to performance coaching to conflict management and mediation coaching, the employee and I dedicate time and focused attention to areas of the employee's work life where support, growth and/or change is required.
2) Team Coaching
In team coaching, I assist work teams in the following ways:
3) Leader or Executive Coaching
It can be lonely at the top, and leaders often find themselves with issues they need to discuss with someone independent they can trust. As an external coach, leaders can discuss confidential issues with me and together we can create or design strategic solutions. Whether the leader is dealing with strategic vision, process, communication, employee or work-life balance issues, I can assist the leader in getting clear about what is required and the action plans to move forward.
4) Life Coaching
In life coaching, I work one on one with individuals who are interested in making changes to any or many aspects of their life (i.e. career, relationships, health, home, quality of life). As an objective third party, I can see and hear in the client what they may not see in themselves. I can help the client think and see things from different perspectives as we unearth what is true for them. The client and I work together to develop action plans to create the life they want. Life Coaching also provides the client with a more balanced, solid foundation, which provides greater resiliency when life throws its inevitable curves. Clients will create an intentional life (a life by design) rather than a life by accident.
